A truly wonderful holiday staying in an exceptional gite…
We stayed at Anna and Andrew's beautifully and sympathetically renovated gite in July 2022. Located at the end of an extremely quiet country lane, the gite provided a wonderful base from which we were able to relax and explore the area, mainly on our bikes. The open plan gite is spacious, bright and airy, decorated and furnished to a very high standard and every home comfort you could possibly want is provided. The terrace is large and provides stunning panoramic views across the countryside to the distant hills. A great restful place for eating outside and watching the sun set. We chose this region for the cycling and were not disappointed. The road surfaces were exceptional and barely a car was seen on the smaller roads which followed the contours of the rolling hills though many pretty villages. The larger roads tended to be less undulating but also had little traffic on them. There are also many marked mountain bike routes for different standards, for those preferring off-road cycling. Towns offering supermarkets, cafés and restaurants were not far by car. The nearby Treignac aqua sport centre provided great opportunities to try a range of water sports, or we strolled down to the lake from the gite, for a swim. Anna and Andrew were fabulous hosts ; recommending places to visit and hills to cycle up as well as generously sharing their overabundance of home grown vegetables and fruit. A truly wonderful holiday staying in an exceptional gite surrounded by incredible opportunities for cycling in this quiet, almost forgotten part of France. One week's stay was not enough.

Amazing Family Holiday…and with fantastic cycling !
Absolutely everything about this place and our holiday was amazing. Both Andrew and Anna were the most amazing hosts and could not do enough to make our experience there brilliant ! My husband took his bike with him and enjoyed 3 bike rides with Andrew, enabling him to see some of the most beautiful scenery he has ever seen. We both took advantage of the lake (walking distance) and swam at least 3 times and we both took ourselves of for some runs here and there. The gite is exquisite and extremely well equipped. Whether you want an active holiday or a quiet holiday they can offer anything. We took our 1 year old daughter and she had a blast as well, paddling along the beaches at 2 lakes and feeding the chickens and geese. We will most definately be returning. Thanks to Andrew and Anna once more x x x.

A Relaxing Stay…
We had a relaxing stay in this bright and airy gite recently renovated to a very high standard and kitted out with quality furniture and appliances. The views were spectacular and the chickens and geese added extra charm. There was plenty to do in the surrounding area and our hosts, Anna and Andrew, were welcoming and helpful. If you are into cycling, swimming or running this is the place for you although I was quite happy to sit and read on the terrace ! We will certainly try and make a return visit.

A great stay !
A great week's stay at La Grange. The gîte is laid out really well and has been renovated beautifully. Everything you could possibly need has been provided. I took advantage of the guided activities available and Andrew took me on rides through picturesque hills and villages and modified each days activity based on how my legs pulled up. The swimming in the lakes was incredible after swimming in pools all winter. Nothing was too much trouble. When I wanted a break I went on sightseeing trips to local villages and lookouts in the beautiful surrounding countryside. In the evenings, I enjoyed a pre dinner beer in the sunshine, which capped off the days perfectly. My evening meals were made using the range of fresh produce, which came straight out of the garden at La Grange. I was looking for a holiday to unwind, and to keep my legs ticking over. Andrew and Anna delivered this in spades. Highly recommended, a perfect holiday !

Spacious rooms…historic building
If you need to get away from it all, this luxury gite is a fantastic place to stay. The barn has been converted to a very high standard by owners Anna and Andrew. The peace and tranquility of its location made for an extremely restful time. Even though I visited in winter, I had a great few days just walking in their woodland and down to the local lake. Andrew even collected me from Limoges airport in the snow in his 4x4. Spacious rooms · Historic building.
